Ram Push

Self Closing and Automatic Flood Barriers

The barrier that recesses into the floor – a non-intrusive solution.

The RAM PUSH is a self closing device that rises from the ground to provide instantaneous flood protection by capturing floodwater to activate a closing sequence that seals building openings with no human intervention whatsoever.

Importantly the RAM PUSH can also be activated at the push of a button on a control panel or even remotely via mobile phone for discretionary deployment.

This automated deployment feature makes performance testing and maintenance inspection a simple and effective procedure.

Typical installations of Ram Push barriers include basement carpark entry ramps, public walkways or shopfront entries.

When not in use the barriers disappear from view and become part of the floor structure, so they do not intrude on the building’s aesthetic. The barrier is pushed 90 degrees from the floor into closed position by powerful hydraulic rams.

Operational safety is built into the system via audible and visual pre-deployment alarms. Sensors can be used to detect entrance obstructions and prevent barrier deployment.

Flooding Solutions have developed a fail-safe power supply system that isolates the barrier from mains failure. Power is supplied exclusively by 24 volt batteries that are on permanent charge.
