Drop Down Barrier

Designed to floodproof areas where physical obstructions inhibit installation of barriers requiring in-ground housing pits, the Automated Drop Down is placed above building openings. originaly designed for warehouse, loading bay other wide entrances.

 

An electric motor lowers the barrier panel into position to provide excellent flood defence to heights of up to 3 metres.

 

The Drop Down is a self closing device that provides instantaneous flood by capturing floodwater and sealing building openings with no human intervention whatsoever.

 

Importantly, the Drop Down can be activated at the push of a button on a control panel or even remotely via mobile phone for precautionary deployment prior to flood threat, ensuring that the property is protected prior to flooding

 

Automatic deployment via push-button makes performance testing and maintenance inspection simple and effective.

 

Drop Down barriers are supplied complete with audio/visual alarms to warn firstly of impending flooding followed by barrier deployment.  

 

Power is supplied by permanently charged 24 volt batteries that ensure that the device will operate in the event of a mains supply failure.  

 

The Automated Drop Down barrier is available in mild steel, stainless steel, or aluminium.
